A Note From Ariah’s Father…
Dear Rooms of Hope Family,
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude and to thank you and all the volunteers for what you all have done. Ariah is everything to me. From her leukemia to her mental health struggles, she’s had to deal with more than any kid should ever have to. She’s come a long way and is doing much better, and this amazing room makeover has had a tremendous impact on her. But it’s more than just the finished product that’s made a difference. Upon learning that she was going to receive the makeover, I’ve noticed some very positive changes in Ariah. She has always struggled tremendously with keeping her room clean and organized. Over the years, several friends and family members have stepped in to help her clean and organize it. As the makeover day grew closer, she knew she couldn’t leave the room in the state it was in. I spent an entire day with her in her room, ready to help, but she didn’t need me. She was so proud of herself, as was I, for what she had accomplished. Her room wasn’t just messy, it was a disaster. By the time she was done, though there was still some work to be done, she had transformed that room. There was a night and day difference. I tell you this to try and explain just how big of a deal this was. You didn’t just give her an incredible new bedroom, you gave her a chance to take a look at herself and the ability to see that changes can be made. That your current situation doesn’t dictate your direction, you can take a different path, you just must choose to want to. I cannot thank you all enough from the planning to the execution and all the individuals that made it all happen, thank you so very, very much. I am incredibly grateful for everything.
Sincerely, The Sanve Family
