It was such a treat to meet this little girl and her big sister too! While we were focused on creating Scarlette and Alisa’s dream bedrooms (and more!), we sent the family to The Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Santa Cruz Beach & Boardwalk. They had so much fun and they couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful it was to be on vacation together. With Scarlette being so sick, vacation time has not been possible, so you can imagine how special it was for them and it was our pleasure. And…although our mission is to create dream room makeovers, our purpose is to bring hope and joy to our Rooms of Hope kids throughout the process with us as they literally fight for their lives. Scarlette is doing just that! Her third open heart surgery is scheduled for March 9th and we wanted to make sure that she had some fun with her family before then. If you are inclined to pray, please do so on March 9th and thereafter. Good thoughts are welcome too!
Words can never truly express how much this dream room makeover means to Scarlette and her family now and into the future. But I will tell you that her big sister and parents expressed to all of us how grateful they are to Rooms of Hope and also how appreciative they are of each person who helped with this makeover!
Team Scarlette…thank you and great job!
And to our sponsors and donors: without your generous support, none of this could be possible! Thank you so much!!!
